The Least House Necessary

During Asia Pacific Architecture Forum, teachers, designers and design enthusiasts are invited to attend a new APDL design minds workshop run in partnership with People Oriented Design.

Are Queensland homes operating as efficiently and effectively as they should? Is that extra bathroom really a requirement? These questions and more will be something to ponder in The Least House Necessary™ workshop.

The Least House Necessary™ is a sustainable design workshop which challenges participants on low energy design and what they need to live comfortably in Queensland. It considers housing sustainability from an environmental, social and economic perspective, and urges participants to understand what The Least House Necessary™ means to them.

For Educators: this workshop has relevant connections to the Graphics (Built Environment Design with a focus on the Design Factors of Sustainability and User Centred Design) and the Home Economics (Individuals, families and communities with a focus on Housing choices) syllabuses which will be explored and discussed throughout the workshop.

Please join us for this very important workshop.
