Normanton

A ringing bell sounds the start of a camp oven feast warmed by stories about station life. Flickering candles, smoking fires and the yarns of country – take a seat at The Cook’s Table.

Join the festivities outside the council chambers in the main street of Normanton on Sunday 15th November, when tables are set for the community to enjoy a camp food feast.

Cooks from many tables will come together for one night of sharing, learning and uncovering the importance of their work to station life. Over dinner, learn about old cooking techniques and share a story or two with cooks who have contributed to history of camp cooking.

You can even learn how to make your own saddle-bag biscuits!
