Marcus Theodor loves a good wedding, though his main goal is to remain invisible while filming yours.
“We’ll probably kick over 300 weddings this year, and what we sell is the experience … we’re one of the only studios that encourages collaboration with the bride and groom,” he says.
Theodor’s $1.4 million business C2 Films was born from a happy accident, when he got a burst of inspiration to start his own company after one fateful wedding where he was filming as a freelancer. He met a bridesmaid who would later become his wife and decided it was time to strike out on his own.
Fifteen years on, he says there’s more and more work available to fulfil the sophisticated demands that customers now have for their weddings.
