If you haven’t signed up already, get on the mailing list for the monthly Impossible Odds Records newsletter! Impossible Odds Records was founded in 2008 by Brisbane Indigenous hip hop artist Fred Leone and is currently the only Indigenous owned and operated record label in Queensland.
Fred is a friend of kuril dhagun and been involved with many of our events and talks over the years and it is really deadly to see this brother succeed and take his career to the next level. Impossible Odds Records represents EMR, Schoolfight, KayEmTee, Mr Birds, Classik Nawu and of course Impossible Odds.
Fred Leone is from Brisbane and his family comes from the Garrawa, Waanyi & Butchella mobs. He is a well respected artist, MC and front man for hip hop group Impossible Odds. His hope for the label is that it becomes a place for Indigenous music both contemporary & traditional in Queensland to shine not only nationally but on the international scene. His personal passion lies within sustaining and reintroducing our traditional language through contemporary dance and song and giving young people a way to hold on to and connect to their culture.
Impossible Odds Records artists are available for gigs and also run workshops. If you want to see them live, Impossible Odds are hitting the stage at The Brisbane Powerhouse Visy theatre on December 21 with their friends Classik Nawu and The Coldwater Band – all the way from the Cape.
The newsletter features upcoming gigs, music download, releases and other news. To sign up for the newsletter contact Fred via email email@example.com or for more details check out his website: www.impossibleoddsrecords.com or facebook page: www.facebook.com/ImpossibleOddsRecords
