Storytime with Dr Anita Heiss

As a part of SLQ’s Big Day of Belonging,

kuril dhagun presents a very special Storytime with our friend Dr Anita Heiss.

Anita is a proud member of the Wiradjuri nation of central NSW and a distinguished  writer among many other accolades.

We are very lucky to have her for two storytelling sessions on Saturday. Her first story session will be for little ones (0-6yrs) and she will be sharing stories about herself. She will also read from her very favourite children’s story books.

Anita will then move to kuril dhagun, also on level 1, for the older children (7-12yrs). We are very excited that we will get a very special sneak preview of Anita’s latest released book  ‘Kicking Goals with Goodesy and Magic’. This is a wonderful book about AFL legends Adam Goodes and Michael O’Loughlin, who between them have played over 650 games and kicked over 900 goals. Learn about Goodesy and Magic’s childhood and how they went from being normal teenagers to AFL superstars. She will be reading from the book and they will be available to purchase from the Library Shop.

Anita is an engaging storyteller and it will be a wonderful opportunity for your kids to listen, ask questions and engage with the writer of this great book which holds such a powerful message for the next generation

We hope to see you there!
