Tell us about yourself?
My name is Nakita and I am a young Kullilli woman raised in Cherbourg now living in Brisbane. Studying at the University of the Sunshine Coast has helped me come to the realisation of how much I enjoy working with and among our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, which aligns well with what kuril dhagun is doing here at SLQ.
What will you be doing at SLQ?
As a Program Assistant, I provide administrative and secretarial support to the kuril dhagun team at SLQ.
What do you do in your spare time?
I spend my spare time with my friends and family or in the gym.
What inspires you?
My grandmother and her teachings of resilience.
What do you hope to get out of your time at SLQ?
I hope to gain more experience within a government setting as well as contributing to the kuril dhagun team as much as I can.
