Queensland Stories - three new stories added

Posted on Monday, November 23, 2009 by JOL Admin.

There are three new stories on Queensland Stories. Listen to Delene Cuddihy, a member of the Yungaba Action Group, talk about the history and future of Yungaba, a former immigration depot at Kangaroo Point. Bill Kitson, historian and former Curator of the Museum of Lands, Mapping and Surveying talks about early Queensland surveyors and how they played a role in shaping the state. And Sam Di Mauro talks about the Q150 Mosaic Art project, which involved tiles all around the state being assembled into a collaborative artwork located at the RNA Showgrounds. These stories were created as part of the Storylines – Q150 digital stories project.
