“This splendid property occupies a portion of that grand ridge on which is erected the residence of H. Donkin, Esq, and runs side by side with grounds for more than 29 chains. The distance from Nundah Railway Station is just 26 chains, and it is therefore within five minutes’ walk of that station…The water supply is of most excellent description, and is both abundant and pedmanent [sic], as Kedron Brook is a constantly running stream.” (Brisbane Courier, 10 July 1884, p.8)

A public auction was held at the site on the afternoon of 19 July 1884. The results of the sale were published in the Brisbane Courier newspaper.

“Mr John Cameron reports a brisk successful sale at Greenbank on Saturday. In little over an hour fifty-three lots were sold, realising the sum of ‎£1004. The company was not so numerous as frequently attends Saturday’s sales, but there was a larger proportion of buyers than usual.” (Brisbane Courier, 21 July 1884)
