First regional professional development in 2017: When Librarians Ruled The Earth

You thought Jurassic Park was thrilling … wait until you see what lies over the horizon of Library Island.

This professional development day, to be held in Emerald on Tuesday 7 February, will use play, strategy, and practical innovations to explore how you could develop and deliver public programs through partnerships, and learn about the State Library’s WELCOME community outreach toolkit. It’s a rare chance to familiarise yourself with a range of tools, and test out daring ideas within a safe, playful space.

Visiting the nation of Library Island and taking on its unique challenges; there will also be a chance to brush up on your grant writing skills and explore your vision of public libraries into the future. SLQ’s Creative in Residence Matt Finch and colleagues from SLQ will officiate in a day of professional development like no other.
