BE Quick – National Reconciliation Week funding available!

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1967 referendum and 25th anniversary of Mabo with a $5,000 grant.

Local councils are eligible for a one-off $5,000 grant to work in partnership with a local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community organisation to mark these anniversaries during National Reconciliation Week (27 May – 3 June 2017).

Here are some ideas from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet website which include a community BBQ, flag raising ceremony or cultural showcases.

To apply for funding, email NRW2017@pmc.gov.au. Eligible Councils will then receive a link to submit their application online once they have expressed an interest in applying for a grant.
