Kano Computer Kit
Learn to code at any age with the Kano Computer Kit. Children six years and older can build their own computer from scratch and learn to code with art, music, apps, and games. The kit comes with 10 plug-and-play components including: a Raspberry Pi, a wireless keyboard, a DIY speaker, a custom case, power and HDMI cables, memory card, a USB power supply, an illustrated story book and 4 sheets of stickers. It’s a great way to spark interest in technology at a young age.
With simple steps and playful projects, there are over 150 hours of activities to enjoy. There’s no need for prior knowledge. Kano makes learning fun with its new story mode that turns computing into an adventure. As you develop your skills you’ll be able to level up and earn new rewards.
Do you know someone who keeps misplacing their keys or wallet? Consider giving them a Tile, a small square in black or white that attaches to the item you don’t want to lose. It will audibly let you know its location via Bluetooth as long as you’re within a 30 metre radius of it. There’s a different Tile tracker for everyone – the basic version – Tile Mate, a thin version – Tile Slim, for the style-conscious – Tile Style, and the rugged and waterproof version – Tile Sport.
The FridgeCam is a wireless fridge camera that can retrofit inside any refrigerator, allowing you to see the contents from anywhere via the Smarter app. The FridgeCam also helps track expiry dates, auto-replenish and suggest recipes based on the food in your fridge.
Each time the fridge door is opened the FridgeCam automatically takes a snapshot of your contents sending it straight to your smartphone wherever you are in the world.
The FridgeCam is an affordable and accessible solution that can make you more efficient in the kitchen at the fraction of the cost of buying a brand new smart refrigerator. The idea behind this camera is that it hopefully curbs your food waste and makes it easier to do grocery shopping.
