Between January 2018 and May 2018 the State Library of Queensland (State Library) is coordinating a review of three focus areas in the Queensland public library standards and guidelines – Technology, Library Buildings, and Staffing.
Each standard will be revised under the guidance of a separate Review Panel which may be made up of volunteers from State Library, public library, and Indigenous Knowledge Centre staff from across Queensland.
The Staffing Standard is the first to be reviewed, and a draft of the new standard is now available from the Public Libraries Connect website.
The State Library is now calling for your feedback on the draft new Standard
Feedback must be submitted by email to the Local Government Coordination Team by 4 April 2018 to be included for consideration in the final Staffing Standard.
