With over 30,000 films there’s a lot to see on Kanopy the new live streaming service. Kanopy is empowering libraries with easy access to invaluable educational tools—enrich your library today. Here are some tips on how you can get your community watching Kanopy.
Public performance rights
Hold a film night in your library. Authorised viewers can watch Kanopy videos in a group or in private. Group viewing is permitted by authorised viewers as long as there are no admission costs and no profit is made from the screening.
Showing a film in class
Students or faculty members are welcome to use Kanopy films in your class. Instructors can also create video playlists for students to watch on their own time from on or off-campus. Here is the guide to creating playlists/clips.
Posters, fliers and more
The marketing toolkit has fliers and posters to print for use in your library. Here is some general information on introducing Kanopy in your community including a sample press release. For additional questions please contact the Kanopy marketing team.
