The adult film selection

The range in the classic zombie and horror films has titles suitable for a wide audience. Choose from a good mix of satirical and serious.

Bela Lugosi stars as the zombie master “Murder” Legendre in White Zombie, said to be Hollywood’s first full length zombie film, released in 1932. It is based on The Magic Island by William Seabrook, about a young woman’s transformation into a zombie at the hands of an evil voodoo master.

The Little Shop of HorrorsThe Texas Chain Saw Massacre

The Little Shop of Horrors is a 1986 American rock musical comedy horror film adapted from the off-Broadway musical comedy of the same name. Another contemporary film this haunting season is The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, a slasher film starring Jessica Biel. The plot follows a group of young adults traveling through rural Texas who encounter Leatherface and his murderous family.

 Kid’s films

There are good less scary choices for children too, including Creepy Carrots; Dem Bones; Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything; and A Very Brave Witch. Kid’s films are shorter so why not show a few when the lights go out?

 Parental controls

Kanopy has partnered with Common Sense Media™ to provide developmentally appropriate age ratings on Kanopy Kids. You can stop kids straying into the adult film selection by

activating the parental controls for additional security. Once implemented, a pin is required to leave the Kid’s titles to view adult films.
