Getting hands on with Lego Mindstorms

Sign up for The basics of Lego Mindstorm for library staff webinar on Tuesday 16 July 2019, 1-2.30pm.

LEGO Mindstorm EV3 robots can be used to bring STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) learning into libraries through a range of interactive and flexible learning programs.

This live webinar is for absolute beginners. We will explain the basics of building and programming the EV3 kit using a tablet and introduce you to each sensor and how it can interact within the environment. By the end of the webinar you will have constructed a small robot that has been programmed to navigate through an obstacle course.

The webinar will run for approximately one and a half hours and will include guides on building, programming, follow up exercises and cheat sheets to help you design a session in your library.

It is recommended that you have access to a LEGO MindStorm EV3 set and a tablet with the LEGO Educational app installed.

More coding and robotics webinars will be released throughout the year. To stay informed on upcoming webinars, subscribe to our STEAM mailing list.
